Take a look at my published works and stories at the links below:

If you read enough of these, you'll notice I like to take my time not just getting somewhere, but getting the deeper story.. Building Belief in Affordable Housing traces the Henrico County Affordable Housing Trust Fund and the coalition behind it; Showing Up in Southside follows a cohort of Richmond donors who chose to learn firsthand about the community their giving supports. Both took months, primary and secondary research, real interviews, before a word got written. I like bringing in a viewpoint quietly, easing into it, so it lands without anyone feeling like they've been handed an argument. Most of these pieces carry my own photography alongside the writing too, because I want you to feel what's on the page, not just read it.

If you handed me an assignment tomorrow, I'd want a human interest story, something with a whole system underneath it worth making sense of, in Richmond or anywhere else. The story everyone already knows how to tell rarely is the whole story we should be listening to. I like finding what's sitting underneath the surface.
